Breathing New Life into the dark and dysfunctional primary living space was the name of the game for our Gable House clients. This redesign honors the home's original character while introducing warmth, functionality, and a fresh, inviting aesthetic that was missing from their beloved home.
This great room remodel reimagines a once dark and cluttered space into a bright, inviting haven while preserving its cozy charm. The strong pitched ceiling now enhances the room’s sense of openness, with earthy greens, warm woods, and ceramic accents setting the tone for a cottagecore-inspired aesthetic. A curated gallery wall adds a personal and artistic touch, creating a perfect balance between modern functionality and timeless character.
To make the space feel both brighter and bigger, we emphasized natural light and decluttered the original design. Rich textures, warm tones, and layered elements bring depth and comfort, ensuring the space remains welcoming and family-friendly. By leaning into cottagecore trends, the updated room offers a serene retreat that feels fresh yet deeply rooted in the home’s original charm.
As with all of our projects, the process began with a mood board to refine the vision, followed by a furniture plan to enhance flow and functionality. The design was further developed in 2D and brought to life with 3D renderings, ensuring every detail came together seamlessly. The result is a rejuvenated great room that feels both timeless and tailored to the clients' lifestyle.
